I have a 2005 TGB 101s, just bought it with about 1000 miles on it. I brought it into the shop to have it de-restricted... They open it up and said the re-stricter ring had already been removed. But I still can only go 30 mph. I think its the carburetor, not sure if theres a problem or if the carb is just made to starve the motor when it reaches power enough to reach more then 30 mph. I can hear the motor slightly choking at 30 mph or when standing still, lifted and revving it to full power. The shop told me that I would have to leave my scooter there for week if I wanted them to check out my carb.. It cant be this hard! Please help... I was told this thing should get to 45 mph.. Carb Jet? I don't know....

look at page 28 there is a trouble shooting chart. i hate that style chart.
is there a lot of play in the throttle before it revs up the motor?
or maybe the air box needs cleaning or plug gap is to big? sticky float ?
carb adjusted to 1/2 to 1/2+ turns out?
might be a little bit of this and that, all adding up to your problem.
remember its used and somebody had a chanch to mess with things
unknown to you so you need to check everything in the fuel, air & spark catagory.

You guys are not gunna believe how easy this was! First of all this site is awesome, I found the answer after some digging! Four bolts to remove the seat bucket, take a small scissors and clip the brown wire from the CDI unit, vuola! No longer restricted! And this doesn’t even void warranty! Let see a Zuma do that! ::handleba

You can get a unrestricted cdi made for & sold by
TGB ( from me as i am a dealer)
many people try the wire clip but it doesn't always work

i normally do the same thing you did but that sucker would
go a bit faster if you had a un restricted cdi
higher revs=more speed

i just did that same thing to a customers scooter
and the only complaint was he thought it was a bit too fast
..laugh..

how many grams did you use on the weights?

where the intake boot connects to the air box. the 101 may be the same. once removed had to bump up the main jet.
