Not getting a stage 1 is just dumb. You aren't a true scooterist if you don't want to go faster an beat all your friends. Even though you are spending more money its well worth it.
Yup, everyone near where i live trys to beat the other person. Ppl are doing custom engine work like dual carbs, adding nitrous oxide, figure 8's (shaving cylinder head for more compression) and almost anything you can think of. This one guy i kno can beat a honda cbr 700 till 3rd gear. I would suggest getting stage 1, your going to get bored of the speed, its worth the money

[QUOTE=speedfreek]I''ve already pulled a 46 mph run out of my poor little Vento Zip R3. Stage 1 kit installed. I had to draft up behind a semi truck to get there, but the end justifies the means.QUOTE]

With my R3i without any drafting I am able to reach speeds of 50~55mph. It might just be that you are heavier than I am. I definitly think you are on the right track. Keep going for the speed!

Like you said, R3i. I'm a poor old R3 rider. Any improvement I can get, I'll take.what size wheels you got? Mine are stock 10 inch. I weigh about 190 lbs.

yeah.. .and here it is...

NOS is Poor mans power... and will blow your engine...

Wouldn't touch it in a million years.... however some people insist on it...

besides if you can't make a "pure engine" set up... what the heck is it worth...

NOS gives a few seconds of boost and falls off... my set up is set up to run... and run... and run.... oh wait... and run some more! So bring it on baby...

Anyway... this sounds like one of those "lets see it and I'll believe it" stories... I love those 80+ scooters that are stock except a pipe but no one but the owner knows it to be true...

Oh well... prove it and I'll be happy....

On the new R3i's it comes with 13 inch wheels. Additionally I weigh about 45 pounds less than you.

No he has not blown anything........yet He doesnt use it like crazyily he only uses when he races people and holds it for like 2 seconds. He wont tell me how he installed it or what about it, but he should be joining the forums soon and will give more info on it....

jeff even though you have a thirteen inch rim your tire is a low profile tire and it makes it the same size as eric's tires on his zip

Who has nos? If its Zaid he really doesn't need it but that might be why he can beat everyone.

For people wanting to know about my system i have set up i use a forged piston and my bottom end is very strong because of the crank i use.
Anybody wanting to know about the boost and jet size it depends on your nitrous system, motor size and how much extra power you are trying to add so if you thinking about doing it there are a couple calculatios you must do. It was easy for me beacause i have done a couple of them on motorcycles and I have a friend that has done alot of them. If you are thinking about doing it i suggest a wet sytem because you can monitor your air/ fuel ratio. And about blowing motors and stuff a dry system will blow your motor NO DOUBT ABOUT IT because it is nearly impossible to set it up perfect because you can't be exact on how much nos is going in there, there for it would lean out and you have a blown motor on your hands but on the other hand a wet system can be set up exact so that there is a perfect air/fuel ratio which is what what I use and if set up right it can bu run ti'll bottle runs out!!!
