About a month ago, I called a radio station because the topic was "what can 2 guys NOT do without looking gay?" I called in and said 2 guys cannot ride a scooter without looking gay. It was funny. For my input, the station gave me 2 movie tickets. They told me I had to pick the tickets up (1/2 hour from home) and that they were only good Monday thru thursday for a matinee. I told them to keep the tickets that it was not worth it for me to get them.

Then, about a week later, out of the blue the same station said "10th caller right now wins a duffle bag full of cd's and t-shirts, and also get entered to win a trip to Vegas" I called, and what do you know I was number 10. Now, the kicker. They said that since I WON the tickets that I cannot win the duffle bag because you can only win 1 prize a month. I explained my story about forfitting the tickets and after some begging they agreed to give me the NEW prize.

NOW the best part!!! I am on my home from work today, and I get a call on my cell. It was the radio station asking when I was going to pick up the duffle bag. I told them how busy I had been and I would get there soon. The guy then hits me with the news that I won the trip to LAS VEGAS!!!! I cannot believe this, I have never won anthting before.... I have NEVER been to Vegas, and I am SOOOO excited!!!!!! :D :D

Has anyone here ever won something like this before?

I won some free snowboarding passes on the radio once.

When i went to vegas in the summer i saw more scooters then any other bike.

There is a place on the strip you can rent Malaguti's and cruise the strip. Next time i go back im eather taking my scooter or gonna rent one.

anyway, I used to win stuff on the radio about 1 time a week... answering the "silly statistic" however I work midnight shift and am not awake during the games anymore!

Oh well... someone else can have them.

Once I called in the answer to a trivia question on a radio station and I won a promo album from an unknown (and not very good) band. :( :( :(

huh, get this!...........

I went into the station to fill out the "paperwork" and they gave me a 1099!!! In the 1099, they valued the trip at @2000! This is BS for a 2 night, 3 day trip! At this price, the taxes will end up running me about $500-$600!

I talked to my accountant, and he says he can lower it to about $300..... I guess that isn't so bad for a "FREE" trip!

hey.. no worries... Here we get whats called the PFD... it's a thing they give oil money back to residents of alaska with...

I got $980 or something like that times 3 last year... now I get to pay the taxes... $12 for each kid and some 28% for mine and the wife...

nothing like taxing free money...

oh well...
