Two questions,
1) do I need to apply any type of oil/coating to the new airfilter that came with the stage 2 kit?
2) should I disable the CDI on my scoot to get the max power from my upgrades? How do I disable it? (OK so 3 questions) ;)

I am not sure what filter you have, so I cannot answer that one.....
If you "disable" your CDI your scoot wont run! You can upgrade it though!

there is a "how to" in the how to area on the malossi cdi install.. they are $59 I think on provo and with the how to, it's pretty simple to install...
I personally feel it helped with low end stalling I had in the cold...
as well it also removes the rev limiter so your engine can spin faster if it's capable...
the easiest way to get more air is drill a hole in the air intake side of the filter housing (not the carb side)... this basically lets a bunch more air into the carb... or you can get a performance filter from provo or even a K&N dealer could help you out...
