Hi,
It has been cold for days. My scooter is inside a "garage", but that didnt help it. I tried to start it -- it figures, I drained the battery trying. Today I recharged the battery @ 6AMPS for 10min. The progress showed 100%, then I charged it at 2AMPS for 30minutes, just in case. The battery is full again, but the scoot wont start. I dont want to buy the manual choke, if that is the case. Could it be that the gas lost its properties on 20F?
What should I do?
Thanks

Your scooter stock or upgraded?
You trying to kick start it or electric?

Electric.
My kickstart spring is not sitting right, so I cant crank it. Long story short. The spring came out :( and I was never able to put it back. Anyway to do this?

if the scooter was in a garage and you took it out side, it won't be "choking" the carb until the carb is below a set temp (no i don't know what) but if your garage is 70 then it'll not choke it or will very little... it'll take a minute or to for it to cool down and trigger the choke...
however, with that being said... It could be a HUGE list of things... also I posted a pic of the kick starter... I knew someone mentioned they couldn't figure how it went in... do a search for " kick start picture" and it should pull up...
kick or electric for starting... it could be as simple as the electric isn't turning the motor fast enough to make it start... they do wear out easily...
if that's the case... you must kick start it...
can't remember if your scooter is upgraded? if it is a 70cc kit or bigger... it's very possible that the electric starter won't turn it fast enough.. Lennox couldn't use his electric starter due to compression of the new cylinder... remember these were designed for a 49cc cylinder...
anyway get that kick starter fixed and we'll see if that works...

Yeah, I know you posted the pic, and I know how things go, but the spring is so hard to put in the place (please read almost IMPOSSIBLE). I've heard there is a tool (LOL) that puts the spring back. The temperature was averaging around 40F and somedays below 20F. I didnt ride it for couple of weeks, and the gas is at 1/7 of the tank. I've had this happen to me once... Rolled to a SHOP, opened the transmition, cleaned everything out, changed the spark plug, tried to fix the kickstart, and nothing worked... Then the SUN came out and warmed up the bike, and I was able to start it again... So this is 100% same problem.
What part does suck like this to react to weather?
