1984 honda spree, more speed !!

so i just purchased my first scooter

1984 Honda Spree 50cc

It will only hit 30mph, i need to get a little more speed out of the sucker. everything i have had time to read is for the newer models 94+.

can anyone give me some links to some parts that will help me out. im looking at getting around 40mph.

i have about $500 to spend to get it where i want it.

PLEASE HELP!!!

and a picture of my true baby, all my knowledge for now is in VW's, i hope to change that.

look up chop chop 123 or just type in spree big bore kit on ebay. you can also change rear tire some say 2.75X10 is biggest and if tyou want to run pod filter you can squeeze in 3.00X10. chop on ebay also offers a gear set for the spree. there is also a pulley mod. o and track down some SB50 intake and reeds. you will have to put in a oil provision in the intake or get an SB50 carb to keep oil injection other wise you will have to grind off the gear on oil pump and run premix. thats about it. unless your good at exhaust(they dont make one for the spree) hope i was some help. good luck and have fun
