I just finished installing a 70 cc engine, 19mm carb, and new exhaust on my Zuma and it actually starts!! Not bad for a guy who knew jack about engines before he started. Of course it wouldn't have been possible without the support of the forum. Thanks guys!!
Now as soon as I put air in the tires I can take it for a spin. :)

I also bought a new variator, but I'll wait till my kevlar belt comes in before I tackle that. :D

I wouldn't go starting it up untill you're ready to ride it around for about 20 minutes. The ring needs to seat against the cyclinder wall - and it does it by basically eating it's way into it. Metal expands and contracts when heated and cooled - so if you run it at low temperature a couple of times - then the ring is going to get it's best seal at a lower than normal operating temperature. You'll could up with an engine that loses power once you get it up to your normal riding temperature. Most of the seating is going to happen in the first 20 minutes. You should warm the engine up, and then ride it for 20 minutes (the first couple of times out). Don't push it real hard for a couple of hours use - but rev it up and down.
