Anyone ever purchase a Schwinn scooter? I am looking at the 150cc bike and wasn't sure, seems to be pretty cheap to me...Anyone have any advice?

Schwinn has name recognition and thats about all...
They & TNG have had a court battle ..
any scoot is only as good as the dealership you buy it from
if the dealer is a jerk he will jerk you around no matter what brand you buy.
TGB, Vento, SYM lots of good scoots out there

They are made in China. They have had a lot of quality problems in the past. Can't comment on present day quality. I do know that Schwinn was working with it's major Chinese Manufacturer to work out some of the quality problems. The problem with Chinese scoots is that the Mfgrs farm out a lot of their business to small shops. Some have decent manufacturing quality but others are just plain junk makers. There are several hundred Companys in China making scooters and parts for scooters. When you buy a Chinese scooter, you just never know what you are getting. If the dealer is reputable and will stand behind his scooters, that is a definite plus. Some will give you extended labor and parts Warranties beyond the Factory 1 year parts only. But that's not much consolation if you happen to get a bad product and it is in the Dealer's shop being repaired or waiting on parts all the time. Buy Chinese, buyer beware!
