check this out, I exhausted myself looking for a trick shock to install so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I bought a Fox mountainbike downhill racing shock and fabricated a mount to fit it to the zuma. I think it came out pretty nice, but it will look better when I powdercoat it. The shock is a 3 way adjustable, (preload, compression and rebound), and I installed the stock spring on it to keep the rates the same. Honestly it probably does nothing, but it sure looks trick.

daytona and koso shocks are made for scooters and they only cost from 65 to 100 dollars. i wouldnt trust that bike shock at the speeds we are gettin with outof our scooters, i dont think they can take the weight.

I looked everywhere for shocks, and while a number of places list them I only found one place that could actually get me one for $299. I am not concerned about the weight, this is a fox shock that is rated to up to 900# springs, and the zuma spring is 380#, which is what I used. The shock shaft is also the same diameter as the stock shock shaft.
Not to say I am not keeping an eye on it, but I am just not concerned about the application.

what is the "valve" (red in color) in the pic? It looks like a pull cable for a manual choke but it looks to be installed on the fuel line?
is that just an expensive fuel shut off valve?
