I posted this in General Parts Discussion, but thought maybe since this forum is more specific to my scooter, it would be good to cross post here.

Hi,

After being away at school for a year, I have spent that last two days trying to get my 2002 TNG Venice back up and running. I have come to the conclusion that one of the fuel parts is bad, I believe it is called an Automatic Fuel Petcock (Line running from the tank in, the line running out to the carb, and a vacuum line running from carb back in). It's a circle shape with nipples for hoses.

I am having the hardest time trying to find one online, and thought maybe someone here could help me. I don't know if I could just get a basic one from a motorcycle or what.

I was considering just putting in an on/off switch in the fuel line, like an old motorcycle, but if I could fix it correctly, that would be preferred.

Thanks,
Derek

you sure its the shutoff?
try sucking on the vacume side hose
with the fuel bowl drain open you should see gas
come out the drain hose ..
and yes you can buy them
i noticed that you list your Location: Bellevue/Irvine
is that wa/ca?
look at tngscooters they list parts & prices too.
but they are plentiful elsewhere

Hey, I fixed it. I bought a can of Carb Cleaner and sucked that puppy open as much as I could, and blasted whatever was in there out. The Beast is officially back in action. Now all I have to do is waited for the weather to clear out.

I also need a stage 1 kit; the slow climb up Cougar Mountain the other night was so slow. Given the fact that it was cold and raining, life sucked.

But ya, I go to school in Irvine and live here.
