99 Zuma auto choke?

Okay, now I made sound ignorant but I'm trying to install a new 19mm carb on my Zuma and I'm having issues with the auto choke...mainly I don't think my Zuma has an auto choke. It has a choke lever on the handle bars similar to a lawn mower. How do I make the choke cable work with the new Arreche carb? Hoping to be able to do this with minimal fire/explosion :o

hrm... the cable on the handle bars... thats a manual choke cable...

Provo sells a manual cable Which I recommend anyway they are more reliable period...

However, coming off the wiring harness in the right side of the scooter there might be a clip that isn't connected... one that has the 2 wires into a plastic clip that is side by side.. This is the stock choke cable...

did you own this since new? or is it possible that someone already modded it?

Anyway the cable is like $25.00 from provo if you need to go that route...

The choke lever looks stock and I can't find any extra wires. I got the scoot used with a whopping 300 miles on it. It had been sitting in a garage for a few years and had no mods done to it. So, does Provo sell the adapter to allow it to fit the new carb or if not, any ideas on how I can make it work with the stock parts?

i got a 21mm dellorto on my 91 zuma that i am using the thumb chock on and it works just like stock. all i did was reconnect the chock just like the stock cable was and it worked. i have never seen the arreche carb but a chock is a chock and you should be able to make that thumb lever work.

the choke on my stock carb and the choke on the 19 arreche carb are not the same...

They are completely different.

post a pic of that carb, if it has a manual lever on it then you can make it work with the thumb lever. i did it with a 21mm del and my friend did it with a 25mm del.
