Just bought a 2002 Vino yesterday....had a couple of questions.

The guy I bought it off hasnt touched it for 2 years, i dont know how much exaust (white smoke) these things are supposed to emit. It's not really that bad but i thought that they would run cleaner for a newer bike. Is there anything i can do or check to make sure it's running as clean as possible.

Also the starter dosnt work but i think thats because the batt is completely dead i had someone test the voltage and they said it was pretty much gone but i could try re-charging it. They want $92 CDN for a new one, ouch! funny because the gauges on the instrument pannel light up when the key is turned.

1 last thing, what type of gas do you put in your Vino ? regular or premium?

the white smoke is just the oil from the 2 stroke gas...

The starter requires much more voltage than the guages... So it is possible to have the guages turn on and act normal...

I run premium but that is because I have a heavily modded engine... I think that the regular gas is okay on a stock motor, however if you mod it then go to the good stuff...

another question...i just finished going for a ride and really had a hard time getting this thing up to 50 KMPH. I know everything is still stock but shouldn't it be able to get upto 60KMPH? I tried a long straight away but just under 50 was the fastest i could get it.

I run hi octane in my Vino. Stock unmodded even in Cdn it's still restricted, so it's top speed is usually no greater than the 40 k/ph figure.
