Just my opinion...

I checked out your scootergarage...

Just to let you know... IMO those parts are pretty rough compaired to how they looked pre-salt water...

You sure you are going to use the original parts???

Know if your parts are similar to the Zuma? I have a stock variator you can have if it'll fit it... so you get a good one in there... Let me know...

I'm not sure if I would trust those main bearings/needle bearings or not?

I am ordering new Main Bearings...I have no Clue how to get that crank apart at the (Lobes?) Can I press or carefully drive it apart with a Drift Punch?. I havent done my Derbi west order yet so..I can always order Rod needle bearings...For the Record..The Rod is straight..(With a level) I really do appreciate your Input on This..My Photos are Deleted for now..I need to re-size them for this forum... My Gears are really Ok...My Photos piss me off ...The Rust is not that bad..I sanded everything down with 250 grit..And The Gasket material you see is now gone....THANKS GUYS!! (Really!!) ..As You can see I am not a moron mechanic..But I need Input!! ....BTW Do You Like My Temporary GREEN Main Bearing? (Avatar)...I think this Guy is the REAL reason why Scooters Seize!! ..... :D JOHN

love the little guy...

anyway, the only reason I say you should replace some of those parts is that they can be a pain when not "sea worn"

IE: that variator.. Is supposed to be smooth in the trays where the rollers go... if it's rough at all... your gonna have some nasty sticking and reliability issues... IMO it'll work okay some days and horrible other days... due to the roller trays being pitted and such...

Unfortunatly I think that the pics are showing what is really there... IE: look in my scooter garage... the pic of the painted side I took... looked clean and all when I installed the piece but when I took the pic... look how dusty the side panel was... and that was 12 hours of dust settling...

anyway just make sure those parts are as smooth as a babies butt... or your going to end up wiht problems from it...

I hate people that do stuff like throw a vehicle into salt water! It's so dumb... but then again it was stolen right?

WOW!

I really did spend a lot of time polishing the stock Variator "Ramps" ..They are free of pits ..and as smooth of a curve as My eye can see..I was sent 5 Gram "Malossi"? weights (weighed on a digital scale) They will work for now till I get a new variator..I Just want to start this thing up and then I will Mod.
