When I hold the front brake and compress the front suspension it makes a popping noise. Kinda sounds like if a bolt has been suck for a while and you break it loose, that first initial pop noise. It's hard to describe what it sounds like, but it only does it in the first initial movement of the suspension and will only do it again if you completely let off the suspension then compress it again.
I am stumped, I thought it might be steering head bearings but the sound is hard to pin point and doesn't sound like it is coming from there and the forks seem solid when checking for play.
It almost sounds like it is coming from the floorboard area but I don't have those panels off yet.
My second thought was a cracked weld, but the neck welds look good. ,.,. I pull a fair amount a wheelies with it and have come down hard a few times.
