Vino A Go Go

I had some 3.5x10/3.0x10 WW tires ready to install for some time but it took a while trying to get the right shock. I gave up on finding a cheap chrome one and bought a red one. That led me to try and compliment it by rattle can paint the rims red and the hub a darker gun metal grey. I was trying for a "bobber" flavored scoot (google it). I also found a local welder who was able to add two small pieces of 1 inch steel pipe to the bottom of the center stand to give the needed clearance with the larger rear tire. It works great cause the pipe just rolls back when you pull it up onto the stand. Welder cost=$35.
The wheel painting is a start..may just push me to repaint the body a flat black but not anytime soon. The scoot weather is finally #$^%# here in the NW and I'm not about to start pulling anything apart! The tires and the shock has made the Vino a new ride..I don't mind the bumps too much anymore and the handling has really improved.
I am pleased with the results...even had a few Harley guys give me a thumbs up..I think it was their thumbs..HE HE HE.;wink)
