I'm got the WORST "service" from Provoscooter!!! This is unbelievable!
They sell the Next R pipe as being for a 70cc kit, which is incorrect. The RS is for the 70... Being a total newbie I ordered it not knowing they were wrong. I emailed them several times asking to switch to the RS and got nothing back. After a WEEK of nothing I said to just forget it and I'm taking my business somewhere else. Still nothing. Now, 11 days later, they randomly shipped the Next R?!?!
I will NEVER order from them again!

I was going to Order Pilot Sport SC 12" tires and thought better after reading several years of bad Customer Service...:(...I LOVE Scootertime...Good folks there.

the reason I haven't joined scooter time was that it was too similar to this forum and it did not have a general scooting section. You guys just put forum headings based on makes and models. all other forums i visit have a general discussion forum, a general scooting forum, a technical section, etc. I find I have to post and anwser questions on a vino125 forum, or a yamaha forum, when I own a derbi atlantis.
No offence guys, but it is just too similar to this forum.

Yeah, I guess I lucked out too. I ordered a stage 1 pipe kit a year a go and it was at my door fast. Don't know how things are going lately...doesn't sound so good by what I read on the forum. Too bad we can't hear anything from Provo with what's happening. I'm thankful for the people on the forum...lot's of helpful, knowledgable people here!
I agree with hybridrazz, the more the better. Both have their strengths..I like Scooter time cause you can post links about product resources. Provo has a long following of people and a searchable history of posted topics that goes way back. Scootertime will eventually build that also. Good luck to both I say! Now go scoot!

FWIW I was happy with provo a year ago too. Now I'm through. Ordered an Airsal T6, got a Kundo instead. Totally different port timing, took forever to get it dialed in with my setup and I'm still not crazy about it. The whole reason I ordered another T6 was to replace the one in there without having to retune.
Still like hanging out with you guys though ;).

It's too bad the forum is associated with the shop. There is a great library of info here on the forum. Customer service at Provo Scooter Shope is not what it used to be. The shop decided against carrying parts for all the 4 stroke scooters---too bad for C3, Vino Classic & Vino 125 owners--we have all moved on. There are also other more reliable sources for two stroke parts.
I am sorry to have to say this as a long time moderator here. :(

What else is new. When I ordered my stage 1 setup, they sent me the pipe, but no vario! I sent them a load of e-mails and got nothing. I said eff them and went to Scooter Central.

Well I have the "R" pipe on my 70cc kit and its fast!!!! what are you wanting top speed, or low end power? my "R" pipe has been mod. with a Leo "RR" carb.fib.sil. on it,which helped on the big end.
Maybe you should read the post to find out what parts you need to make your bike do what you want it to do before you order your parts....

I admit that customer service from provoscooter has varied greatly among customers in the past, mainly due to an item being out of stock. Customer service has greatly improved in the last few months though and we will be doing much more. This coming spring there will be a new version of the store with the ability to tell when items are in stock. we'll also be posting a phone number on the site so that people can get a hold of us with order related questions. In fact, there are going to be a number of updates around here in the coming months that will improve everything, including the forum. Look forward to those.

Well I can only hope that this site and the online shop gets back on track. J~scoot you have a big job ahead of you. Reputation is something that once lost is very difficult to regain. Because virtually everyone makes a connection between these forums and the online shop my suggestion to you would be to live on these forums. If you see SPAM, remove it immediately. If you see a negative comment, do your best to resolve it without being too defensive.
When a new online shop is ready, be honest about what is in stock and what is back-ordered. If something is not in stock, be truthful about its anticipated arrival date. Don't send customers a replacement / substitute item without their knowledge, it's deceiving. People hate deceit.
Post a webshop phone number and be sure to answer all of the calls. A real contact phone number shows perspective buyers that you are there to answer their questions and solve their concerns. It's called customer service and relates to trust. Without a phone number there will always be a lack of it. ...TRUST, get used to that word because it is the foundation for what all successful online businesses are about.
I sincerely hope that for this site and its online businesses that it is not too little too late.
Good luck.

FWIW I was happy with provo a year ago too. Now I'm through. Ordered an Airsal T6, got a Kundo instead.
I highly doubt this is the case as we have never carried anything kundo especially a cylinder. We also never swap out parts that are specifically listed on the site without checking with the customer first (and usually offering them a discount or upgrade).

This wasn't the official policy for provoscooter. for a long time there were no parts for the vino 4 stroke and vino 125. All of our parts are aftermarket and if we can't find a source for parts we can't sell them. We have finally found some sources. You will see a product line for many 4 stroke scooters this coming spring as well as some how-tos for you vino 125 owners. It is a pity that 4 strokes aren't as easily modable as the 2 strokes but we'll do our best to provide parts and info.

As long as i can remember we have been as truthful as we could be about product arrival dates. Simply put, the scooter industry is relatively young and our suppliers don't like keeping stock and also don't like telling us that they haven't even placed an order for what we have ordered from them. long story short, we have sourced out the majority of manufacturers whose parts we sell and will be purchasing direct to better control our own inventory and keep things in stock.

New input from provoscooter will hopefully help things.
I'm excited to see all the new changes that are being made to help revive this great community.

Why on earth would I lie about this? I swear to God that's what happened, call me a liar if you must. I haven't been spreading any bad words about this, but now I've a good mind to. I'm not the only one who makes this claim by the way, search some other scooter forums.

These are some of the reasons why most Vino 125 owners have gone to other forums where suppliers and distributors can be discussed freely. There have been other suppliers for the Vino 125 & other 4 strokes which have sold upgrade parts for years--yes, much fewer than suppliers for 2 stroke parts .
As a former moderator here I wanted to help & I even supplied the former admin of Provo with this info several years ago and he provided the info to the owner. Nothing ever came of it.

I'm honestly not calling you a liar. I've just been affiliated with provoscooter for some time now and have never seen a Kundo and don't even think any of our suppliers carry them. I wish you would have emailed us and we would have taken care of it. In the past customer service has lacked in the parts availability category, but we've always been extremely accomodating in the case of wrong or defective parts. i'm sorry you had a bad experience but if you email us we'd be happy to give you a discount on your next order. I'm sorry if my previous post came across as negative

I'm not sure who the forum admin was at the time, but after Erich stopped being the principal admin, the new admin hasn't had a close tie with the store portion of the website. You are probably much more familiar with what policy around here has been but i was under the impression that provo simply didn't take advantage of the market rather than having a policy not to. I worked for Erich in 2006 and searched long and hard for 4-strong Vino parts but couldn't find a supplier. i sure wish someone had passed your info on to me...
As long as we are on the subject though, we have a number of parts for the Vino 125 on their way but are open to any other parts you have found around. Thanks for the input
