Has anyone seen or heard of mods for this scoot yet? I love the styling but for the price I would rather buy a sport bike...maybe an engine kit along with exhaust and variator?
I don't see or hear much about this scooter...I think its going to fail for Yamaha.

The Morpheus been around with pretty much the same specs since at least 2006 here in the US.
Seem to be quite a few for sale with low mileage. Don't know what that means if anything.

I've only seen one on the street. Cool looking in it's own far-out way and it's supposed to be super-comfy for long hauls, but if you really want a Maxi-Scoot and care about performance go for the Majesty. My personal feeling is if you're going to get something as heavy and expensive as a motorcycle, why not get a motorcycle?

Rather serendipitous... I haven't been on this forum for a long time. But I have an '06 Morphous and I just installed a Yoshimura full exhaust system last night! Yoshimura R&D USA imported it for me from their Japanese division (where the bike is called the "Maxam"). I haven't ridden it yet (it was raining while I put it on and hasn't let up much since)... but I *did* fire it up long enough to make sure I didn't have any exhaust leaks. MAN! You won't mistake it for a race bike or a Harley with straight pipes or anything, but it sounds like a beast compared to stock. Seems to idle just fine (no other adjustments/mods), and it also has a catalyzer and maintains all the factory air/emissions piping.
I've also added a trunk lid "lip" spoiler which I painted to match the bike. There are plenty of accessories out there for this bike, but you must dig for them as they are rare and the sources hard to find. Terms of service don't let me post them here, but PM me if you want for info. o_o
This bike is extraordinarily successful in Japan (along with the various Majesty variants sold there), and it's imported to the US with little modification (colors, no remote) in low numbers so I don't think Yamaha cares if it sets a sales fire or not. The fact that it's doing well outside the US should ensure plenty of availability for a loooong time. I love this bike and have been very, very happy with my purchase so far.

I have thoughts of taking the engine/trans from a wrecked one assuming one can be found, and making it fit into a donor old zuma....drag bike anyone?
