So I've got a Honda Elite CH80. When I pulled the oil drain plug the other day to change the oil, nothing comes out. I make sure that the engine is actually has oil by topping it off, but still nothing. I can tip the bike way over to it's side and get some to come back out the fill hole, or I can blow really hard into the oil fill hole and make oil spray out the drain, I even took a screw driver and poked it around inside the drain and the fill holes, but still nothing. The engine is still full of old oil. What the heck is going on?? Where is my oil hiding and why won't it come out??

any idea how long its been since the last change? maybe run the scoot for a few minutes and get it warm first? never tried to change the oil in my elite yet.

I think the oil tank your looking at is the 2-stroke oil tank... A 2 stroke doesn't need oil changes, it just burns the oil along with the gas. I think the drain bolt your looking at is for the tranny oil, which does need to be changed (it's by the rear wheel, right?). Chances are, it's been running on no oil for a long time, hence there being none in there... I'd check your gears, as they may have been grinding, and now be worn... If it's ok, then fill it with the appropriate amount of gear oil, and you'll be good again...

the elite 80 is a 4T scooter.
