What? Nobody else owns a Honda scooter out there? C'mon now, lets get this place jumping & trick out some scoots! Give me a holler if you agree.
And to our good friend Lennox out there with your "Plug & Play" post, we feel your pain and in many ways I agree with you, but try to remember people come to these forums for help, assistance & advice & as such look to you as the "Professional" here & also every mechanic has to learn somewhere. That said though folks, his time is valuable and his skills not all that easy to come by so treat him nice, be polite and try not to sound too much like an idiot (however I know for some that can be a problem.) Peace out. :worship:

There are people out there riding Hondas, but they just don't want anyone to know about it. ;no

Well now that's not very nice but I guess it's to be expected... just goes to show you there are two kinds of people in this world. Those that enhance our existence and those that resemble the back quarter of an equine. Question is which one are you?

FYI
all the Honda people are either at
http://www.urbanscootin.com OR
http://www.totalruckus.com
where they can freely post links to sales parts & accessories sites
why waste time here

I sold my '85 Aero to a nice little ol lady. She was surprisingly OK with premixing 2-stoke gas and the manual choke on my oversized carb. She's buzzin around large now.

But seriously all true honda folk are on other forums, provo's not real big on them apparently

to each his own i suppose, i think the honda's are just less common now, they havent made a 2stroke scoot in how many years ,they should have stuck with the elite imo.

They certainly should have, a dang solid scooter by Honda imo and very useful and practical not to mention tunable. Well US just gets the shaft by EPA, even though SUV's still polute way more than scooters ever would.. oh tallk bout beaurcratic ass hats..

My Honda Helix has 12,000 miles on it and my 2004 Honda Ruckus (49cc, not Big Ruckus) has 18,000 miles on it. I sold the Big Ruckus to a friend. The 125Vino is my first Yamaha scoot.

I have a pair of 86 Aero's I have had since they were new. My floks figured no cop would pull me over (I was 14) and my brother got one too. Now gas is almost 4 bucks a gallon and I pulled them both out of the garage and they are running strong. My question is I don't need to do a 9.5 quarter mile I just want to pull hills without someone in a SUV trying to push me off of the road. What are a few good mods I can do to make them have a little more pop but not risk burning them up. They have less than 6000 miles between them and I would rather keep them good runners than sup them up for a summer than have to throw them away because the motors are shot.
Thanks
Eric

There is a large Honda Dealer in Peoria. I looked at the 2007 Met last year before I purchased my Vino Classic. He told me the Elite 80 went away for a very simple reason. The 125cc scooter made it obsolete, people were no longer buying the Elite 80. He said it never was a big seller anyway. From what I just heard today, Peoria area Honda and Yamaha Dealers cannot keep their 50cc scooters in stock. They are selling as fast as they get them. Darn good time to sell a used scoot if you have one to spare.

Hi Eric,
Best mods for a little scooters are 1.) Remove any & all restrictors, 2.) Get a new variator & lighter roller weights, 3.) Swap out your CDI box for a higher rev limit, & 4.) I'm not sure but your bike may have a 2-stroke engine (uses a gas/oil mix) in which case a H.P. exhaust would do wonders (but you would also have to up-jet your carb... not a big deal.) Hope this helps! Mac ..dance..

Hey, I am new to this group, but I roll a Honda. I think most of us are over at TotalRuckus.ocm.

The ruckus is HUGE! Its the new Zuma as far as being the most popular bike around.
Probably because the zuma has stayed the same for the last 7 years (02-09) cosmetically, and gotten worse mechanically. I like the Ruckus, and would buy one if it had a 2t Minarelli in it.

Mine is a little slow, but the looks are great. I finally saw some scooters in Peoria, IL today. They all four looked like Honda Metros. I wish I could find some people to ride with around here.

There are tons of honda guys out there. Especially now with the popularity of the ruckus. In the past you wouldn't find many of them on here because provoscooter was mainly a 2 stroke/ Minarelli modding forum. That has changed in recent times so we hope that all you honda scooter owners out there feel welcome, post up your mods and feel at home on the provoscooter forum.

The New Elite 110 is a Great Scooter also. About the same gas mileage as my Ruckus, but with much more power, better handling and braking. I've caught several motorcycles and passed them on several super-twisty roads like The Dragon. Wife and I are really enjoyin' em'....even more fun (IMO) than even the 600 Silver Wings I've owned....!!!!!
