Tranny / Belt Assembly Cover Gasket

Are any of you using the gasket that fits in between the Tranny and Belt Assembly?

i did use it for awhile..........after taking that apart so many times, the gasket finally wore out! now, I just go metal to metal with no worries! ;)

same here... the gasket fell apart after a few times playing with it...

yep... it's dry and useless...

The only thing I could think that they put it there was to keep the metal from "fusing" togeather but that'd have to get pretty freaking hot...

So, it's extra money not required...

i still got mines on my 2000 zuma. i have taken that cover off at least 20 times and its still cherry. just dont use any silicone or gasket sealer and the gaskets should last.
