how about this i live in sarasota right where its supposed to hit directly and its like 5:30pm on friday right now and its raining really bad but i know its only going to get worse. hope i make it my garage dosn't like water as it is and my scoot sits in there i hope it don't flood that would be a bad thing.

I just got back from Key West...flew in Wed...wouldn't let us check-in with the "mandatory visitor evacuation" and all...We found another hotel that would let us check-in built for a Cat4 hurricane...we got lucky that it hit 75 miles west of us...only had bad weather Friday morning till about 2pm...Had a great time. There are a TON of scoots there. I really like those side by side 2 seat scoots. I feel bad for the poeple of west coast of FLA they got hit hard.

Our brethren in Richmond this earlier this week got slammed hard, real hard, by a tropical depression, so our wishes goes out to them, we got a loot or scooterists out there. Now we got another one looking at Florida.

Not fast enough. I was watching the TV reports so far, and man I feel bad for all those boats, but not their owners. Dumb f^%#* ain't have enough sense to have had their boats lifted out of the water. The real losers here is the poor insurance companies and underwriters who will in no doubt shoot all of our premiums up. Sorry, I feel bad for all those rich boy luxery boats about to become reefs! Damn people think so lowly of those boats, they could just donate one to me, one to Elise, and hell, Marylandmark is a Bay Boy, IU'm sure he'd like a 55' sloop or a 65' Bayliner.

I have not had power since yesterday at my house. I am living in my warehouse for the time being. There is a bright side. In the past 18 hours I have spent some serious time on the Zuma. Cant wait till it stops raining so I can test and tune!!!

This is why I say I would never live in florida

1. It's a sink hole waiting to happen...
2. There are always hurricanes and crap there...
3. it's to freaking hot and muggy... Georgia's even worse!

well, still raining. still no power at my house. I smell. My warehouse seems to shrink by the minute. I am going insane.

The worst part is the ZUMA. I had planned on doing 1 mod at a time, posting pictures, and giving everyone the valuable RPM increase for each mod. Now, with nothing else to do...... I have done the variator, kevlar belt, Arsal 70cc, Arr 19mm carb/cable, Technigas 70cc exhaust, new intake, and reed cage. oh and I blueprinted the cylinder and polished the exaust port. I am going to have NO idea what part did what. BUT, I should have a fast scoot after all this rain stops.

I agree Jered, you couldn't pay me enough to live in Florida, hell two hurricanes in two weeks, and a third on the way looking to follow the same path as this one. I'd stopping trying to clean up afterwards, jsut wait till the next 'cane blows the debri away from the last one! :p

in the ten years I've been in Florida, this is by far the worst hurricane season.
