I was just wondering if the ZIp r3 is upgradable like performance wise because i have the stock 60 kilometers and was just wondering if its possible to upgrade so it goes faster.

My question for you... How much do you want to spend?

example... I have about $1500 worth of parts I have purchased for my scooter...

The scooter was $1899 when I bought it new... so I've almost reached the same as it cost price!

WOW! I've spent some cash on this thing! OOF~!

Lennox.. you got more in your though right?

Speed = money... or friends... who hook you up!?!?

I remember when I spent 9k on my old 90 Mustang GT, dumped 10k in to it so I could run the quarter in 12.9 that's half the fun :) Thank G-d, I'm not as bad as those kids who spend 40k to fix up a 12k Civic.

looks like you and I are going to do a lot of comparison shopping, I also own an R3, the Technigas pipe gave me a little more top speed, the malossi clutch spring kit got me there quicker, buy a set of 4 gram weights for yer stock variator. I'm having troubles with my Technomoto upgrade variator, but with some help, I should get those worked out. Good Scooting.

the stage one upgrade is a definate BUY in my book. Better top speed, gets there quicker. less speed loss on hills. Jered hooked me up with some good advice on what I was doing wrong with my variator, it's louder than stock but that is fine by me. Stage 2 upgrade is soon to follow.
:) :) :)

Not getting a stage 1 is just dumb. You aren't a true scooterist if you don't want to go faster an beat all your friends. Even though you are spending more money its well worth it.

I would not quite say that...

Just like anything else in life- it depends on what you are looking for. Fast as heck- why go stage 1 when there is stage IV, V and beyond out there?

There is a lot to be said for a reliable, good gas mileage STOCK scooter....

I''ve already pulled a 46 mph run out of my poor little Vento Zip R3. Stage 1 kit installed. I had to draft up behind a semi truck to get there, but the end justifies the means. I started out with a $700 used scooter, and now I am part of a Scooter Trash gang of 6 members. My personal goal is 60 MPH. I think I'm on the right road.
