I'm cross posting this. It was a reply. Any case, the following does not reflect the industry as a whole but S. Central PA, Northern MD.
Right now, we're on the backside of last year's bug scooter trend, I wouldn't be altogether surprised to see some of the scooter makers pull out of the N. American market again like back in 88. Matt emailed me this morning with his figures for the year so far, and said he's dropping the Kymcos outright, and will not keep any YMC Scooters on the floor anymore. Order only. Matt said the tore only sold 15 scooters so far for 04 down from 38 this time last year. He blames pocket bikes which he hates as much as scooters.
