I have a 2007 TGB Laser R5, which is a 49cc scooter. TGB also makes a Laser R9 which is a 151cc scooter that appears to be identical to the 49cc R5 in every way except for the engine size and the tires are 1 inch larger. The Morini engines that TGB uses appear to be difficult to find after market parts to upgrade the engine to make it faster. Is it possible to swap out the 49cc Morini engine for a 50cc (or maybe even a 150cc) GY6 engine that would have more readily available parts? Obviously if I were to upgrade to a 150cc I would have to upgrade the rear brakes to be disc, upgrade the rear suspension for the extra weight and then register it as a motorcycle. A little silly, I know. And yes, I do know Dr. Frankenstein. o_o
