Just got the final piece of the puzzle for my planned setup on my second Vento Zip, Single Ring 70cc T6 cylinder. I will be putting it together with some spare parts I had planed for my Triton, which is is now sold, such as carb and clutch.

My goals for this setup are to do 50mph cruise and get at least 50mpg ::handleba

And here's the parts list of all the Goodies:

Airsal 70cc T6 (no porting, unlike Triton)
Arreche 19mm Carb
Polini All-Weather Filter
MRP Adjustable Delta Clutch
Malossi Bell
Trans pre-tuned with 1k Spring and 3.5g rollers
Jog50 "Powerlink" Belt
Stock Exhaust

Here's the pics of everything, Darin take note at all the jets I have to tune with EVEN with the Arreche! ;) I think I will be the first, atleast on here, to try the MRP Detla so I will try to let yall know how it pans out. It looks like a good deal at a very low price of $45! The lowest I've ever seen for an adjustable clutch. Jetting wise I will start with 95main with the Allweather filter and drop down.

Anndd Here's pics of all the Goodies! :D

Have you tried the polini all weather filter on anything yet? I was wondering if it flows similar to a foam open type filter but with maybe less noise. Looks interesting.

I've had it originally on my Italjet Formula 50 with 70cc Malossi, and just today tried it out on my 90cc stroker zip today.

Had it with Cover on on italjet and cover off on zip and its still pretty damn loud either way, almost same as unifilter really. But by inspection it has a better internal design so should flow better.

what size is that bell/clutch you have? My clutch engages too quickly even w/ the red springs because the i.d is so large (112mm). I was going to ask what my options are. Where did you purchase the clutch/bell? thanks, kurt

did you get that old Metrakit clutch? that clutch sucks worse than a 2G, you should have gotten the new Metrakit pro clutch which is a clone of the malossi delta clutch, that clutch will slip like greased lightning on a tuned engine.

This is an MRP clutch, not Metrakit. With all the crap I've heard about 2g's I'd rather try this for $45 instead of spending $120 on a clutch which has pads that fall off..

Has anyone ever drilled holes in the piston where the bridge in the cyl. is....I had a 70cc Zuma seize up in that spot one time...

MRP, Metrakit, Hebo etc same crappy clutch, trust me i also tried that clutch & it slips much worse, the shoes are too light & the lining material sucks.

you are better off returning it & get a Polini 3G clutch which better than 2G & MRP crap.

I'm pretty much out of mod money for a while now, so keeping this clutch or stock are my only current choices. I don't mind the stock clutch and have one on my stroker so I'll just stick with that if I have to.

Thanks for the pre-info, bug gonna try the MRP nontheless ;) :p

So what oil adjustments have you guys done with 70cc? I remember unscrewing it pretty far on Triton, but not exaclty how much..

And A/F screw start at 1.5turns out, good starting point?

Aight, got everything prepped and installed last night. Install went pretty smoothly, but didn't get a chance to tune since it was too late in the night. Fired her up for about a minute though, with a high idle but otherwise sounded good. AND ALSO Something I noticed, this wasn't prevalent on the Triton's T6 install since its a heavier bike, but going to this aluminum cylinder on the Zip I could actually feel the weight difference! Felt like I shaved about 5lbs, while I was moving the bike around compared to my stroker.

Carb setup:
mix screw 1-1/2turns out
95 main jet
middle clip
oil adjustment ~4threads out (please suggest if you think I need more oil)

And here's how the install went, enjoy! :yippy:

Old vs. New, notice the nice big open port on the Airsal vs stock
http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k129/burnt_toast96/Zip%2070cc/DSC02594.jpg

New piston installed with 12mm pin, kept stock needle bearing only 600mi on it

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k129/burnt_toast96/Zip%2070cc/DSC02596.jpg

Cylinder slid smoothly right onto the single ring piston
http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k129/burnt_toast96/Zip%2070cc/DSC02598.jpg

Head and shroud installed, notice the oil adjustment!
http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k129/burnt_toast96/Zip%2070cc/DSC02599.jpg

Actually decided to use the exhaust studs and copper crush gasket this time, instead of bolts
http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k129/burnt_toast96/Zip%2070cc/DSC02600.jpg

Notice exhaust port and gasket, they aligned real well with the stock exhaust

Here, you can see why I decided to port the Arreche, not open filter

my 06 yamaha vino cruises at about 45mph but gets about 110 to the gallon :)

do you think 4 strokes get better gas mileage? i have a vento triton and it seems like that thing eats gas compared to my vino.

kinda wrong place to post this dont you think.. 4strokes will always get better gas mileage more efficient engine design.
