I heard you can put the Vino buddy seat on the vino; but not bolt on. Does anyone know what modifications I would have to do? I dont feel like welding
thx---Sam

You can do a bunch of different things. Anything from super glue to a heavy duty welding job. Be creative, and if the first try fails, try again. BUT, what I've noticed with mine is that it can't be on permenantly. Whenever I try to get into the storage area, the buddy seat is in the way.

The buddy seat is designed I believe to attach to the rear rack of the Vino is large and flat via velcro straps. (I may be wrong, but I recall a similar thread on the old board) The Venice has a curves tapered rack similar to the OEM Jpn rack that I have on my Vino. I'm sure there is a way to jury rig it on to the Venice but since I do not have one, I'm not sure how.

If i superglued it wouldn't it be impossible to fill up the gas tank? what did you use on yours? thx

Davey-boi probably didn't realize that the Vino and Venice have very different rear racks. The Vino and Venice look very similar but there are many differences between them, most of their parts are not interchangeable. I suspect give it a little time when some of the Venice users see this thread, I'm sure they got an idea or two.

It will fit on the rack, it just will not be secured to the rack in any way. If you can come up with a way to do this, it should work fine. (perhaps some conduit brackets from home depot would do the trick)

hey i figured the seat would fit; i just wanted to hear a success story from a venice owner before i ordered it. You got a 02' stella? Do you think its worth the 4k? I was thinking about getting one myself. Unless vespa starts selling there 2 stroke manual here in the states.

Erich was I right on the mount, it's hook and strap? I recalled FreakyFrankie having said that last year, but haven't seen any pictures of the set up?
