Post subject: what are the symptoms of cdi going bad?

Hi guys,
does anybody know how can you see that the cdi unit is going to give up? If the engine starts fine, but the revs are delaying the response to the trottle,does it have to deal with the cdi?How long does a cdi last at everyday usage?

cdi's are solid state, so unless you have a huge electrical snafu, they dont go bad.

have you tried a new plug?
