i placed a 06 vino 125 engine in my razz.....the pic of the frame, the center tube was added so that material could be removed from the existing frame to make room for the vino head...and a side brace for strength . motor mounts were guseted and rear mud flap cut for tire to fit...took a few days to wire everything up through some of the razzes wire loom, handle switch levers, head lamp...etc.. it is still registered as a 91 razz 50cc...except it does 65 mph....

Im getting my parts together and putting a 2001 vino 50cc in a razz frame.
I like what you did there, any tips would be great

well as far as frame wise....if its a horizontal engine you may need to either clearance some of the frame or accept a slightly longer wheel base( wich isnt a bad thing) wiring should be a cinch if its the two stroke engine.. basicly match up the four wires comming out of the engine with the four wires to you wire harness and all the razz electrics shoud work the exact same... its still a 50cc two stroke engine made by yamaha so it has the same generator/flywheel. the only really differance between the two motors is that one is fixed gear chain driven and the other is variable belt drive... i see he only problem is in mounting the engine...its important to make sure you get the rear wheel lined up with the front on all axis or the bike could have handling problems, wobbles or dog trail...

ok, its 2 stroke. My weakness is wiring, but I also picked up a complete 2001 vino harness with all electrical parts cdi etc. My thinking was too see and compair stuff and go from there.
Getting the frame straight seems too be the key, but fabing is my strength. The razz handles bad too begin with, but a longer wheel base and larger tires has to help.

you can compare the harnesses...id suggest sticking with the razz wiring mostly becuase 1. the wire harness is already made for the razz frame as the vino harness is a slightly diffrent length and some of its componants may not fit the the frame easly... and im sure you will find it is esentualy the same harnes only may differ with type of connectors... but either way shouldnt be hard to get together

what shock did you use??? On my stock razz I found a shock one inch longer than the so-called stock shock. I like the ride better but they are a poor quality shock. Im 200 plus. Just wondering if the vino shock will work with out mods or if I made changes whats a good shock.

Awesome conversion! Razz's are ridiculously slow with even good mods due to the chain drive, so thats a great way to get some extra speed. props on a cool conversion!

i just want to know does that bike wheelie.

A stock Razz will wheelie if you try hard enough. I've done it plenty of times. Throw in a 125 Vino engine and you'll be pullin em without even trying.

I'm kinda curious how much fabbing did you have to do to make it fit and where did you find the engine and about how much did you spend?
Thanks

hahaha.... the vino 125 guys wernt too stoked that ripped apart a vino.... its wheel base is about 10 inches longer wich is alot for that lil scoot but alsom about 70 lbs lighter than the vino...it does wheelie rather easy but i like to keep it on two wheels...after buying a few engines,88 jog and a ysr 50 with 4 speed manual to put in it i found a local guy that had crashed his 06 vino 125 at 15 mph head on into a car....he thought it was totaled as the wheel pointed far left from the bars... he didnt want anything to do with it and insurance was going to give him 350 so he said give him 350 an i can have it instead of insurance...tore it all down and the bars simply moved on the stem...the forks were fine and everything...so to get it to fit it was pretty risky...at one point i hade the razz frame cut in half and started to dought that it was gana work out. had to relocate the center frame so that it sticks out just infront of the lil middle cover and added a side brace as the shock was relocated to the rear of the bike making for a high stress point... it was a very close fit but it fit...my main reason for doing this isnt for top speed or to burn out or wheelie...but to simply cruse at 40 without the motor feeling like its ganna blow up....iv gotten it up to 65 but could care less about going 65..

I've done wheelies on my stock Razz- its actually pretty easy despite the lack of power.

iv first noticed with old jog i had a few years ago that the tail lights were ment to be actual lights but for what ever reason the made them out of grey plastic and added that huge light rack thing...i carfully took a dremel tool and cut out the square in the grey brake light and made one to fit inside pretty well out of the red lens of the brake light that actually works.....and molded it in with epoxy...as it acts as a license plate light as well...put a bulb inside the grey piece as it shows wher a real buld would originaly fit...the turn signals i found at a local motorcycle shop. hey bolt onto the bottom holes of the license plate and wired them up inine with the blinker bulbs. to get leds to work properly they suggest wiring in a resistor or a load of somesort..but i found that by simply tieing off the origanal bulb and than wrapping the bulb in electrical tape and ticking it up under tha frame that that acts as a resistor and allowing the leds to blink...tape the bulbs cus when you put on your blinker the bulbs still blink as well

That actually sounds pretty easy. Thanks for the help.
