Which plugs are you guys using the (BR7HS stock) or the (BR9HS 70cc)?

isnt the BR9HS a colder plug then the BR7HS? I was thinking the higher the number the colder the plug.

you should run the 9 heat when using a 70cc kit...

A 7 heat is for the stock 50cc set up...

humm i was still using my factory plug which was a 6 so that's even hotter could i get a little more power switching to the 9? The 6 i was using has the coffee brown color.

Are the NGK's that are sold on Provo pre-gapped? Or would we have to gap them ourselves?

Thanks.

it's not a matter of power from the plug... it's how HOT the plug gets...

a 6 instead of a 9 plug... probably means your piston has been to hot... possibly causing the cylinder or piston to have damage!

ill be ordering from provo soon then the 6 plug was in my razz i was still using the 7 plug in my zuma. All the ngk plugs ive got from my dealer werent pre-gapped even if they were if, it would good to check the gap just in case never know.

My Cylinder kit didn't come with instructions. I just recieved the hardware.

My polini kit didnt say how much to gap my plug either, just what plugs to use, i went by the factory specs of 0.38 to 0.43 ive got mine gapped at 0.40 i would check your zuma owners manual, and see what it says should be about 0.40.

The service manual says the gap should be:

0.6 - 0.7 MM ( 0.02 - 0.03 IN)

But wouldn't we use a different gap for the 70CC setup?

Humm well there is more compression with the kits,so a stronger spark could make it run a little better, but i dont think making the gap a little wider would make that much of a diffrence with the factory coil, lennox was saying he couldnt really tell any diffrence with the racing coil he has. That gap that your manual says is only 0.24 to 0.28 hum alot smaller then mine,so the 0.40 for you would be way too much.Sry about the 0.40 i didnt realize i was lookin at my razz manual instead of my zuma manual.
