Have you all heard about the new Lambretta that is being developed by CMSI? It will use the same frame that was used by the old Lambretta scooters. It will use a Piaggio 250cc Quasar engine (currently used in the X9) and it will have 22 hp out of the box and a top speed in the region of 85mph with regular 75mph cruising speed. There will also be an option to have a 125cc engine for countries that require learners to start with a smaller engine.

I believe that it will have an automatic transmission also.

You can find some pics here (http://www.lambrettausa.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=99999&tabid=23) .

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....eeeeeeeeeeeeeet!! ! I heard about the engine set-up, but using the same frame is a first. That thing is gonna rock. Kinda wished that they used anything but a piggio engine, but sometimes you gotta give in. A piaggio engine in a lambretta seems sacreligious, the equivelant of dropping a ford engine into a chevy. Ouch, that makes cringe!
