Has anyone here installed the upgear kit for the Vino? I have been looking for one for a bit more top-end speed, and various other parts suppliers have told me none are made to fit the Vino gear set.

Also, assuming it will fit, does anyone know the new gear ratio offered by the kit? Anyone have any first-hand experience with this part?

Thanks!

HTQ gears for scooter and maxi scooter

Malossi S.r.l. is pleased to offer its new series of final transmission gears for scooters and maxi scooters. These new gears were created by exploiting our 20-year experience in designing and building gears for competition scooters. The new HTQ gears were designed and built with straight teeth to minimise losses through friction and stress on the supports. Moreover, our gears increase ratios slightly enabling you to exploit the full power of your scooter, thus significantly increasing its original performance potential.

the 40/17 is a 9to1 gear ratio. i had that one my jog and i topped it out at 71 mph. jered does provo have a taller gear set like a 8to1.

that was pulled directly from malossi.com...

as far as I know there are no other gears available other than those as they were all that is listed...

as far as I know provo doens't have them in stock but you'd have to email erich and ask as they are not listed on the sales page...

jered out here in hawaii we are not supposed to go over 35mph on out mopeds. thats why there called mopeds and do need insurance and a 6 dollar registration fee is for life. but then you got some of use with strokers that can do 90mph. we just cruise when we see the cops.
about the gears ratios, you can get almost any ratio around. i have a polini 9to1 and a malossi 8.7to1, but i am looking for a 8to1 and 7to1. the guys at ***REMOVED LINK*** have those gears. i think only taiwan makes those ratios. hybrid you got a vino right. you can make that bike just as fast and even fast. the vino has the newer jog motor with better intake porting in the case. i only wish i had a vino motor for my jog.

the top end is the same but thats all there is. the razz trans is a single speed so there you are stuck. my friend got a razz to do 55 with mods but thats as fast as your can go with out changing the motor for something with variable trans.

i think you should find out what other bike has the same motor in europe and see if you can match it up too your bike, and then see if malossi or polini sells anything for it. malossi is getting into the 4stroke struff. for right now you might be out of luck. can you go on the freeway with that bike and whats the top speed.

Dunno, havn't bought one yet :D ! But I'm planning on trading my vino classic for one. The top speed on a vino125 is 55-60mph and in CA your engine needs to be 150cc or bigger to go on freeways. I was thinking about modding my current vino to do that, but it doesn't have disk brakes and stuff. Just wouldn't feel safe ya know.

Anybody know what engine is in the vino125???
