So I already have the 70CC kit. The polini kit is in the mail. :D So I am now down to the carb.
What would you guys suggest/recommend. How is the 19mm Areche Carb? Is it sufficient or should I go bigger.
I am approximaetly 225 pounds or so. and I ride the Zuma a lot when weather permits. Some days in excess of 50 miles, and now this spring and summer it should eaily be almost in excess of 60 miles almost daily.
Thanks for the help.

What kind of polini kit did you go with sly? the 19mm would be enough ,and the arreche is easy to find jets for it depends on the kit you went with, if you got the polini evo,and a high revving exhaust id go with a 24 or 25mm.

Well I have a C.M. Racing 70CC kit whcih I believe lennox has. I ordered the Polini Big Valve Kit from Cycle Imports it cost me $60.00 + S.H. I am not sure which model it is, I'll check when I get home. I also have a Tecnigas R pipe.
Thanks for the info.

the 19mm should be all you need for that setup sly,and by the posts ive seen on this site the 95jet would be good also.

with that setup, the arreche would be perfect! Thats the same stuff I had, minus the big valve kit..... you'll hit 52-54 no problem!

Say in the summer I decide to get the UpGear kit for the Tranny. Would the Arreche carb still be sufficient.

yes sly ,you could do a plug read after you drive it with the new gears, and if its not the coffee brown color go to a larger jet.

Sly did you order your big valve from cycle imports of hawaii, or the florida cycle imports.

Awesome. I called them today asking about the intake manifold and I was talking to the owner. Very nice and helpful guy.
I was told that with a smaller carb up to I believe it was 21mm or so that the stock manifold would be sufficient and I would get the best results. If I was to go for a bigger carb like a 24mm and up then a new manifold would do me good.
So me being the big spender. I ordered a 24MM Carb, A Manifold, Throttle Cable, Throttle Assembly, and Jets.

Sly i had that 24mm set up on my jog. the carb i was using was the oko. it worked good. i switched to the complete polini set up 25mm dellorto and the bike came alive even more. i had more power from bottom all the way to top end. what all did you order anyways.

I ordered the 24MM OKO Carb w/ some jets, a Koso Manifold, The Throttle Cable and Throttle Assembly.
George told me that it is easier to go with the throttle assembly and Cable.
My previous order from cyle Imports I recieved the Polini Big Valve Kit, which is the Reed Cage Assembly.
Then I also have the 70CC C.M. (Char Mo) Racing Big Bore Kit.

I believe and hope all the parts I ordered are good. I love my scooter and just want to make it faster. I don't want to spend a fortune but I do want to spend some money on some good parts.
I think my next order is coming from provo, for some plugs and a belt.

that koso manifold is really solid. i like that one a lot. i might get one for myself for my jog. Char mo you say. i heard of that brand for hondas but i never seen one for a yamaha. do you have a pic of it. if you dont want to spend big bucks on your bike get a polini 4race cylinder. that might just be the best street cylinder out.

isn't that the corsa? It's a cast cylinder....
Or is that a different cylinder!
as well... There isn't a whole lot of English or US distributers for the Polini stuff.... Malossi kinda cornered the US market! IMO anyway...
and please don't post links for places that sell them... I'm not asking for any....

yeah it is a case iron cylinder. what makes that cylinder so good is the head and ports, plus that thing is bullet proof. out here in hawaii polini sells way more than malossi. malossi parts just cost too much anyways.

After reading info on the cast ~VS~ te aluminum stuff...
the story is that the cast stuff is just out dated...
IMO the aluminum will expand different than the cast stuff... with less change of problems from incorrect jetting!
My airsal is still working with over 700 miles on it... this being all done with WAY to little oil in the fuel... my pump wasn't done correctly when I upgraded...
After 700 miles I learned that I had the oil line installed incorrectly and that's why I only used 1 qt of oil in over 700 miles!
Anyway.. a cast kit, IMO would have been toast more than the aluminum one...
I have minor damage to the cylinder from it... but I think the cast would have probably seized up...

The cylinder is a an iron cylinder, and it comes with an aluminum head. I will take a picture later today.

how did you like that corsa kit. i had that kit on my jog when i topped it out at 71mph. now that i got a H2O evo set up that i am building i cannot wait to see if i can get that bike into the high 80's or low 90's.
