Could this be the new 06 Zuma? While searching for Bugeye Zumas today for new wallpapers I ran across a huge number of sites showing this as the new 06 Zuma/BW-50cc bike? We all know a new BW/Zuma was in the works. The reality of thew new Vino has settled in, and we all know that a new Zuma would use the same motor as the new Vino would so maybe this is the first look? Who knows!?

Looks interesting. But I am keeping the 04. I don't see a need to upgrade soocters.

These are going to be 2-cylce now? AMi Crrect or possibly mistaken?

I'd assume that it would be a four stroke using the same motor as the new Vino (Vino Bianca)

these bikes have been around for at least 4 years now. its called a NG, zuma or BW next generation. there made in france just like the 2002 and under models.

I have a 2004 Zuma/BWS NG and it looks doesn't look like that- resembles it but that front end is much better looking IMHO.

the reason your bike doesnt look like that NG is because you dont have a NG you a zuma. the NG is made in france like the 2002 and under and your bike is made in taiwan. they are 2 diff bikes. the older bikes can be made to look like the NG just by changing the body work.

King check this out and everybody that thinks that bike in the pic is something new. http://www.yamaha-motor-europe.com/products/scooters/Under50cc/under_50cc_overview.jsp
you got to remember the scooters/mopeds we get in the states are everybody else's rubbish or old model. after there done with them then we get them. look at how many zuma models the got in europe. oh yeah those euro zuma aint junk 4strokes. if the zuma turns into a 4stroke that will for sure kill a great bike. 4strokes suck.

If they do have a Zuma model for the 2006 year it will be 4-stroke.

Dealer meeting is in June so I will keep you guys updated.

The Yamaha website says 2006 models will be introduced this Sunday.

I also heard of the 4s transition. There is a lot of potential in a 4 stroker. Problems with weight are an issue. Not sure if its going to be a L/C machine or not. I would hope it is. OHV would be nice also. Snowmobilers were afraid of the 4s switch, but the technology is here for some Hi performance. Turbos would become the reliable norm. Can you imagine the sound of a mini pop-off valve on a scooter next to a 'tuner at the stop light? I'm ready!! Of course, I would NEVER sell my 2-smoker.

I would buy a Vino 125 tomorrow if I could get a good turbo kit for that bad boy...if I'm not mistaken its EFI so it wouldn't be out of the question to do it...I bet that would FLY

Just went by my Yamaha dealer at lunch and noticed that the Zumas all said "last year available." When I asked the salesperson I was told she had no idea what if anything would replace it but was certain that the Zuma name would be retired this year along with the 2-stroke. Is this typical of what dealers are saying?

I have to agree with rydah, it'll probably be whichever european hand-me-down they can manage to stuff a 4-stroke into.

While at one of my local Yamaha dealers last week I spoke to the owner and told him I had a 05 Zuma and if they were to be available in 2006 as there were none in the 2006 line-up in the Yamaha catalog...he replied "nope. 2005 was last year for the Zuma..at least in 2-stroke form.
He went on to say that he sold all of his very quickly and he wished they would make more. I told him how much I purchased mine for ($1738 USD) he laughed as he knew where I bought it(out of the Tulsa area)...he said that I made a great buy! He also said his 99 Zuma (5500miles)was one of his favorite bikes and wouldnt take twice that amount for it.

My dealer said the same thing. 4-stroke will be the future of scoots. I went ahead and got my Zuma now so I could get the 2-stroke.

So...if we have the last two-strokes does it make them more valuable $$?
Is a 2005 Zuma a good thing? Should someone buy up all the rest 05 Zuma's?
There have been zero available in Tulsa since I bought mine (I had to go 50mi away to get one. o_o

They are still making the Zuma/BWs up here in Canada, they already have the 2006 models on the floor. We have different laws reguarding emissions.

My dealer has 6 sitting in the dealership and 5 are sold...all to the same guy who is going to ebay them. After these six...that's it. He has no more coming in.

You know what I would like to see is a 125cc model with the Zuma look. I don't want to buy a big Morph, but I would like a small frame bike with just a tad more go for the weekend runs in to the hills around here. I prefer to skip the Vespa mod look. I'm more of a sportsbike person (Zuma is a Sports Scooter...perfect.)

I say resurrect the Zuma with a larger engine...that's easily modified for those who can't keep their hands off (I fully understand guys...I own a Jeep.)

I think I will send this request to Yamaha.

what sucks is that its not even liquid-cooled like the new vino. BOOOOO
its the exact same as the 2005, 2004, 2003, u get the idea, but with more colour options. doesnt yamaha find themselves a little repetitive?

just in case someone still wants to buy a new 2005 zuma, we still have some in sioux falls south dakota, (i know , its a long way for most of you) when i bought my 04 the currant inventory was:

1) 2004 yellow zuma with 1000 miles on it

2) 2005 blue used zumas, one with 1100 the other with 1400 ( old people owned these)

11) 2005 zumas, mostly black, a few blue.

if interested, check out midamerica motoplex website

but................
be warned! they are asking a fortune for new, they know its the last of its breed and people call from all over the place looking for them.

I thought 2003 was the last year for yellow. Could be they switched body panels with another scooter.

Here in Wichita, KS Mid-American Powersports has at least 4 '05's left. They are asking $1849 plus a setup fee. They also started carrying Kymco scooters, the entire line from what I saw on the Kymco website. That Super9 looks pretty cool.

The Super9 has great brakes and a really solid ride. It's very heavy, though, and there aren't many tuning parts available.

I was just at the dealer where I got my scooter here in AZ, they had two grey 05's for ~$1850. I still like the black best.

the guy at the dealership here told me that there were a bunch of hop-up parts available for that thing. he also said that is restricted to 30mph, but will run 47 when you unrestrict it.

i thought that was kinda cool since its a little bigger than the zuma, has the big wheels, F/R disc brakes and is liquid cooled.

pinkymingeo

They're not restricted down here, but maybe the dealer derestricts them before sale. There are no good aftermarket crankshafts and no high-end cylinders available for the Super9. The manifold is only big enough for a 19mm carb, and again no aftermarket alternatives. You have to fabricate your own. If you're satisfied with T6/19mm performance, which can be pretty good with some work on the cylinder, fine. Otherwise you have to customize parts.

Hi guys. There are a few new '05s left at the Smokey Point Cyclebarn in Arlington, WA. I'm going up there today to sign the paperwork for my new one. They quoted me $100 to ship to Seattle.
