Hi all!
I have a 1971 Puegeot model 103 scooter that needs some attention.
I need at least the following:
-back tire
-gas cap
-headlight, turn lights and rear light.
Would anyone have a resource or know of a parts bike around that would work?
I would really like to fix this bike up, but have NO resources for parts or manuals.
I have a yamaha razz that I recently tore apart and rebuilt, so I think I could handle minor mechanical work on this scooter. It all looks straighforward.
Thanks,
Dan

As long as your willing to go custom, all of that looks easy enough to fix.
Back tire, what size is it? Go to local motorcycle shop and just ask for the size you need, as long as its a common one that shouldn't be too much hassle.
Gas cap, measure it and go to a lawnmower/go cart shop to try to find one similar size.
Lights blinkers, thats where you should go custom unless you want to keep it original. Custom you can set them up anyway you want and use virtually anything.
But if you're looking for original parts, best bet is to keep an eye out on ebay.
Good luck. o_o

Just go to mopedarmy.com the Peugeot 103 is one of the most common bikes on there. As far as parts go, if you don't want to go from store to store scavenging for parts that "might" fight like a lawn mower as cap, go to www.treatland.tv and 1977mopeds.com they specialize in vintage MOPEDS you have a moped, not a scooter. Don't get that confused on moped army, they will get on your case about it, sadly. Mopeds have pedals, scooters don't. Consider it a friendly warning from someone that learned the hard way ;)
