So I ordered a Polini Big Valve Kit which I guess is what they call the intake manifold.
The reed cage w/ the reeds sit in the intake manifold, correct?
Second does the new intake manifold come with a reed cage and reeds or do I have to order those seperately?
Thanks.

Cool Thanks for the help.
Are the reeds that come with the Polini Kit good? I am guessing they are good, since it is aftermarket.

So my Big valve kit came in today. So I have a question.
Is the Polini Big valve kit is just the reed cage assembly?
What are the 2-triangle looking things that came with the kit? I will post pictures when I get home.
The kit came with 2-gaskets so do I use both gaskets, or do I just use 1? (Probably a stupid question)
Also it came with 2 extra reeds. Looks like a nice kit. I will post pics when I get home.

hhhmmmm, just some guesses here..........
one gasket goes under the reed cage, ond one over...
The "triangle" things are probably stuffers.......wich sit down in the reed cage

So what are those triangle things? Are they fillers, what do they do?

How does the intake manifold sit with the reed assembly? When I was looking at the intake manifolds on jollymoto none of the wholes match up.
Does the reed assembly bolt up to the cylinder and then the intake manifold bolts around it, or does it go on top of it aligning with the holes?
Thanks.

it should fit just like stock.

the reed cage drops down in, then the intake lines up and bolts on top.... yes the triangle things are "
stuffers" they give you a little better acceleration. (they scrub a LITTLE top speed)
i sent you a pm

So teh intake manifolds that are on 50cc or jollymoto, are they the wrong ones? The bolts will not align with the reed cage. Here is what they look like. The bolt pattern on the reed cage has 1 bolt on each side, while this one has 2 bolts per side. This is what was under the Yamaha BW's. Is that even what our 2004 zuma is called on there?

Then Polini has this intake manifold but it is under the Yamaha Jog section, so I am really confused: The Reed cage assembly also says JOg on the label. It looks like this one would fit with the reed cage because the holes for the bolts will align.

sly i see your problem those intakes are for the old school zuma 2001,and older. 50cc.nl has their listing wrong it says <2002 which is suppose to be 2002 ,and older but it should be <2001,and older.

also sly the jogs, vino's,and new style zuma's 2002 ,and up all have the same engine so parts that fit 1 of those fit all of them.

jolly moto doesnt have their listings wrong we just get the wrong bikes in the united states. the intake system for the bug eye bikes and the jog and vino are the same. in europe they still got the O.G. zuma. they dont have the bug eye bikes.

So then by the looks of it. Jollymoto does not carry an intake manifold for the Bug Eye Zuma.
Thanks for the help.

Is it me or does the Intake manifold from Polini look small? As that the big valve kit will not fit in it.
What do you think?

The polini should fit with no probs i thought that intake came with the big valve kit. If it doesnt id ask rydah he knows alot about the polini parts.

oh ,and also jollymoto doesnt sell a intake for the bugeye zuma but they do for the vino, and jog,and there the same exact intake.

i had the polini intake for my jog and it wouldnt let the carb fit under the frame. jogs dont really have that much room. i got the taiwan manifold (import) and my carb fit perfect. i am using the polini big valve red system, i am just using a diff manifold.
Sly when you are looking up parts for your bike, look under jog, vino,
aerox ac, and the other minarelli motor'd bikes using the flat motor. just remember the vino, jog, aprilia sonic, and malaguti f10 have the short tranny so the trans is a lil diff, the belt is just shorter.

if you get the right parts your bike will be super fast. george at cycle imports got his air cooled evo bike to do 88mph on one of the moped cruises we went on around the island.
