so, I bought a spankin new 2004 Zuma in August and, althought it's put away for the winter now, I'm thinking about upgrading to the larger piston and cylinder in the spring. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty quick just as it came from the factory but, I'm thinking the bigger piston will give me a little more zip (especially on hills).

My question is this: How does this upgrade effect my warranty?

voids it....

I guess if you were creative and crooked you could do it and if some thing broke on your scoot you could put it back stock and go get warranty work done on it...

To me- if you change your cylinder you are going to want to change your pipe, variator, springs, weights and so on to utilize your new found power from the cylinder- they all kind of work hand in hand so upgrade one, you have to do the rest as well to keep it in the powerband. So that being said, the question is what is going to be left stock on your bike that really is going to run the risk of being broken that would be under warranty anyway.

keep in mind that the frame, electrics, brakes/suspension should all still be covered.......well, maybe not the brakes, but everything else.......
