I ride a stella but it has a LML engine in it. I like vespas though.

I don't know if the Derbi GP1 has a Piaggio motor, but I voted for Derbi because of the GP1. I HAVE to be impressed with a 50cc scoot that will do 60 mph right out of the box, even if it does cost as much as a Vino 125. I also did a search on Usenet and everyone there praises the GP1. Sounds like a winner to me!
