rebuilding a seat

Hi gang. I'm rebuilding the guts of my seat. It's from a Vespa GTR 125, and is the long saddle style. I have a new cover, and replaced some of the spring assembly, but would appreciate advice of the best type of foam to use and also where to find the heavy pad that lies on top of the springs. Looks like rubber..?
