does anybody else have this problem? i have the next r on my scoot, and the thing rattles like ALL hell at certain rpms. sounds like a rotary saw cutting thru sheet steel. i THINK its the little metal band that goes around the silencer, but i dont know how to stop it. the bolt that holds the band is as tight as i can make it, so what i was wanting to know, what material can i put in between? i want to be able to cut whatever it is to the size of the band, so its not hangin out on the sides, but it needs to be able to withstand all the heat produced as well. any ideas?

goto homedepot, and get yourself a "fernco". Get a 2 inch one, and cut that to fit.

ahh, THATS a fernco. lol... thatd be fine, but the silencer sits right next to the expansion part pf the pipe, THATS the part i was worried about being too hot.

i just put a next-r on my BWs, and it is doing the same thing. vibrating at certain rpms. i think it is coming from the bolt holding the silencer clamp (it is touching the front of the silencer).

on mine the bolt isnt touching anything, but i can see a slight bit of air between the clamp and the silencer. i HOPE its that, and not the baffle insde..
