Razz leaking gas

My son's 88 Razz is leaking gas out the bottom of the carb. It appears to me that it is a bad float needle as it is leaking out of what I would call the overflow. I took part of the carb apart and the needle appeared ok, but when I put it back together, it still leaked. Would anyone know if that might be the problem, or could it be something else. Thanks. I also should mention that the gas flows out the bottom even when the Razz is not running and key turned off.

Your float and needle are sticking- take your carb apart and clean it REALLY well. While it is apart, make sure the float moves and the needle is moving freely.
