I've been checking out the other scooters just to see what was out there and I have to admit I'm impressed with the Stella... all metal, classical design, 2 stroke, manual transmission, highway legal, and a great price! If I were to decide to get down to one motorbike I might well sell my Vino and Twinstar and get one of these. I'm curious... does the Stella have a manual clutch? And what about pipes and other performance mods?

the Stella does have a manual transmission. The other nice thing about the Stella is the fact that it is pretty much EXACTLY like a 1978 Vespa P150. You can buy any vespa p-series parts or accessories.

The Stella is very easy to upgrade also. It comes with a catalytic converter and everyone says that there are serious performance gains if you replace the stock exhaust with an aftermarket one. There are also upgrades where you can make the engine a little bigger (I think it's 180cc instead of 150cc). I have heard that Genuine might soon start selling 200cc engines that can be put in the Stella frame also.
